Animal Aid is a charitable organization devoted to achieving a paradigm shift in support of animal rights in India and, indeed, all over the world.

The "paradigm shift" is this: that the idea of humanity's dominion over animals must be REPLACED by the understanding that it is our duty to protect the rights of animals.

Within this spirit, Animal Aid brings relief to suffering animals--one animal at a time. Our 20 skillful staff and compassionate volunteers from all over the world enable Animal Aid to treat about 100 animals every day.

Street dog sterilization and rabies inoculation; 24 hour rescue for  ownerless animals covering species ranging from bullocks to birds; community education and animal advocacy combine to make Animal Aid a lively place where dreams come true. Animal Aid is surrounded by green crops, flanked by the Aravali hills, and nestled in a traditional Rajput village. This gives volunteers from outside India a unique chance to experience a world gone by in a cheerful and rustic animal haven.
