"Bheem" receiving treatment after the brutal attack

On August 30th  a 6-month-old street dog named “Bheem” was brutally beaten by 5-10 un-known persons in the Amba Mata area, Udaipur. He is suffering from broken legs, head injury, is unconscious and is in a critical condition. He’s currently at Animal Aid receiving life-saving treatment.

On the night of the attack,  an FIR was

lodged in Amba Mata Thana, by residents who had raised the street dog since he was a pup. The FIR was lodged as per the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, Section 11(a) which states that no animal can be beaten, abused, or physically harmed for any reason. The police are currently investigating the case.

Bheem was immediately shifted to Animal Aid hospital where he has been receiving around-the-clock care. He has started taking milk from a syringe and is now recognizing voices, though he still cannot stand or lift his head.

We are praying for his recovery.
